Miller dates back to before Oklahoma was a state, and in fact a Queen Anne home from the 1880s still stands in the neighborhood. The Miller family who originally owned the land gave their family names to some of the streets, and built a neo classic mansion that also still stands. The majority of homes were built in the 1920s, and no two homes sitting next to each other look alike. Craftman bungalows, mission style homes, and colonial revivals can all be found in the neighborhood. There is a strong neighborhood association in the Miller neighborhood.

Oklahoma State Fair Park, just three blocks away from Miller, is the home of the Oklahoma State Fair. For 11 days in September this park comes alive with the sounds, sights, and smells of the fair. The rest of the year, a variety of other events take place in the fair’s expo buildings.
