Lewellan’s Royal Oaks is a community on the west side of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, about 10 miles directly west of the downtown area. This small neighborhood is bounded by North Bradley Avenue on the west and North Anita Avenue on the east. To the north, it extends roughly to Northwest 12th Street, and on the south it is roughly bounded by Northwest 11th Street. The Lewellan’s Royal Oaks neighborhood is entirely residential, made up of approximately four dozen single-family homes on well-shaded lots. Several of the homes here have their own outdoor swimming pools.

One of the most prominent attractions near this community is Lake Overholser, which is situated about one mile to the northwest. Named for a former mayor, this lake is the oldest in the city, spans about 1,500 surface acres and offers adjacent parkland. Among the popular activities here are fishing, boating, sailing, jetskiing and picnicking. The surrounding parks also offer tennis courts and soccer fields.

Another popular outdoor destination is located a few miles east of Lewellan’s Royal Oaks, on the other side of I-44. Dubbed the “horse show capital of the world,” State Fair Park hosts the annual Oklahoma State Fair, as well as hundreds of additional events and activities throughout the year.

Less than one mile north of Lewellan’s Royal Oaks, along Northwest 23rd Street, are convenient health care and shopping options, including the Deaconess Hospital-Bethany and the Glen Oaks Shopping Center.
