North MacArthur Boulevard is less than a quarter mile away from this community. Roughly the same distance away is Lakeshore Estates Park, which is on the shores of Lake Hefner. This man-made lake was built in the late 40s, and it has become the focal point of a lot of recreational activity. Lakeaire is about a mile from Lake Hefner Golf Course, for golfing enthusiasts. This course features two regulation 18-hole courses, and there are numerous mature trees and sand traps to increase the challenge. Lake Hefner Golf Course has been lauded in Golf Digest as the fourth best public course in the state. The neighborhood is also located just over a mile from Cherokee Hills Park, which contains interesting cultural features.
