Knights Lake Apartments for Rent

(hide neighborhood information)

Knights Lake is a modest neighborhood situated to the northwest of downtown Oklahoma City, next to Wiley Post Airport. Streets in Knights Lake are named after knights of Camelot including Lancelot Place. The neighborhood itself is pedestrian friendly, though set a good distance from necessary amenities like grocery stores and shopping centers. Two major thoroughfares make it easy for drivers to get around the city.

Residential construction in this neighborhood is primarily prairie construction with red brick and white wood exteriors. Most houses in Knights Lake are single-story with a spattering of two-story construction throughout.

N Rockwell Avenue makes the western border of Knights Lake, separating it from the Wiley Post airfield in the 73132 zip code. NW 78th Street intersects to create the northern boundary, another major Oklahoma City thoroughfare. The east is bounded by Lyrewood Lane, which winds from north to south, separating Knights Lane from neighboring areas including The Pines and Twin Lakes. To the south, an imaginary parallel runs along Lancer Lane, encompassing smaller streets including Lancelot Lane and Galahad Circle.

In addition to Wiley Airport, a small, corporate and private aircraft hangar, Knights Lake is close to several commercial establishments and points of interest. There are over five small lakes to the east of Knights Lake including its namesake, Knight Lake. To the north of the neighborhood, the Northwest Expressway is home to hotels including the Fairfield Inn and Suites. Restaurants along the highway are both chains and local spots including Joe’s Crab Shack, Nina’s Mexican Restaurant, Lumpy’s Sports Grill and Kolache Kitchen.
