Greenvale Apartments for Rent
The Greenvale neighborhood centers on Lytle Park, a grassy park with a playing field and playground set next to an elementary school. Surrounding the park are several apartment communities, single-family houses, and a small mobile home park.
The Greenvale neighborhood is located on the west side of Oklahoma City, near Lake Overholser. On the north side, Greenvale is bounded by Northwest 10th Street. On the east, the boundary is North Rockwell Avenue. On the south, the boundary is Melrose Lane. On the west side of Greenvale, Doris Lane is a dividing line, and the neighborhood takes in both sides of North Tompkins Drive. The zip code for Greenvale is 73127.
Many of the apartment developments in Greenvale are sizeable. Several are located on Greenvale Road, Northwest 6th Street, 10th Street, or North Rockwell Avenue. Some apartments are condominium-style garden townhouses. The single family homes of the neighborhood are mostly one story wood frame houses built in traditional style.
Greenvale is located close to Overholser Lake’s expansive parks, and also to Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge, a natural area just north of the lake. At Stinchcomb Refuge, families can hike wild trails or kayak on small lakes and streams. Either option gives visitors an impromptu tour of bottomland, old growth forest, and unspoiled marshland.
For fun of a different sort, State Fair Park is about five miles east of Greenvale. The Oklahoma State Fair, Home and Garden Shows, Quarter Horse Shows, and Rodeos are held here throughout the year.
