Regardless of the time of year, it is always possible to find an event that is being put on by the active Cleveland UCD Neighborhood Association. Some of the events include a Fall Ball, a Halloween event, and Fourth of July activities. Nearly all of these events take place outside the neighborhood, in the Venice neighborhood.

The Cleveland UCD is widely popular among those who enjoy walking. The area offers generous sidewalks on most of the bordering streets, such as NW 30th, NW 23rd, North Villa, and North May. Walking allows for enjoying the beauty of the area. The neighborhood is also close to the Shepherd Historical section, which is home to Swastek Park. At this park, families can enjoy picnics, watch baseball games, and take advantage of a playground. The park offers plenty of entertainment for families of all ages, including walking trails and other amenities.

Cleveland UCD is also close to Shepherd Mall, which was constructed in 1964 as one of the first temperature-controlled malls in the area. While Shepherd Mall is still operational, it has gone through numerous changes. One of them was serving as a backup area for businesses impacted during the Oklahoma City bombings.
