Chadbrooke North in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is a community of newer, traditional brick homes featured on well-manicured lots shaded by indigenous trees, such as maples, oaks, bald cypresses, sweet gums, and white ashes. The trees provide homes for birds, such as sapsuckers, flickers, vireos, sparrows, and the scissor-tailed flycatcher, which is Oklahoma’s state bird.

The neighborhood is located northwest of Lake Hefner, which is a popular recreational site. The reservoir was constructed in 1947 and offers trails that are utilized by both bicyclists and hikers during the spring and summer months.

Residents like living in the neighborhood because of its proximity to shopping, dining, and a variety of golf courses and wildlife areas. The community is situated just west of the Quail Creek Golf and Country Club and is northeast of the Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge, which offers opportunities for hikers and bikers to view area flora and fauna while getting some exercise. Visitors to the refuge often see such wading birds as spoonbills and ibises, and smaller birds, such as wrens, goldfinches and indigo buntings. Prairie dogs have also created a habitat on the south side of the recreational site.

The upper middle class neighborhood is located north of Northwest 122nd Street, east of North Rockwell Avenue, south of West Memorial Road, and east of North Council Road. It is served by one of three schools, Will Rogers Elementary, Hefner Middle, and Putnam City North High School.

With its educational and recreational opportunities as well as close access to shopping and dining, Chadbrooke North is a preferred location in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.
