CEENA is a large, rectangular residential area located in the southwestern part of Oklahoma City. Though devoid of commercial development, CEENA is located close to Will Rogers World Airport. This airport is a major travel hub with almost twenty non-stop destinations on major airlines like Southwest, American Airlines, Delta, and Continental.
South Mays Avenue makes up the western boundary which separates CEENA from the neighboring Mayridge community. SW 59th Street is the southern boundary and runs parallel to SW 44th Street, CEENA’s northern border. South Agnew Avenue completes the rectangular community on its east side.
Kindred Hospital of Oklahoma City South sits to the southeast of the CEENA border. This medical center specializes in pulmonary care and intensive care as well as complex wound care. Adjacent to the hospital, The Almonte Shopping Center is in the southwestern corner of CEENA and is home to several casual restaurants including Pizza Inn, Willy’s Donuts, and Subway.
For those seeking outdoor entertainment, Youngs Park is in the northeastern part of CEENA. With a playground and plenty of space to run around, this park is perfect for families.
There are also several schools around the CEENA neighborhood. In the Oklahoma Public School district, Roosevelt Middle School sits to the northwest while Coolidge Elementary School is in the southeastern corner. Hillcrest Elementary School rounds out the public schools in the area.
Alternative to the Oklahoma Public School district, John Glenn Elementary School is part of the Western Heights Public School system. The nearby La Petite Academy is a private school that specializes in early childhood education in a well-rounded environment.
