From Middletown, Ohio one would have to travel a good distance to visit a rainforest or a desert. On the other hand, one could simply visit Krohn Conservatory, a nationally-recognized showcase of more than 3,500 plant species from around the world.
Located in Middleton’s Eden Park, the conservatory is itself architecturally significant, built in 1933 at the height of the Art Deco era. Special exhibits and programs include the popular springtime “Butterfly Show.” A waterfall and exotic plants are on permanent display in the Palm, Tropical, Desert and Orchid houses.
Middletown is, as its name implies, in the middle of the Cincinnati/Dayton metro area. Rent a Middletown apartment and you’ll have access to both of these major cities.
