Haverford College Area Apartments for Rent(hide college information)
When Quakers founded Haverford College in 1833, it was designed to give Quaker men an education from a Quaker perspective. This private, liberal arts college no longer has a formal religious affiliation, but the Quaker influence still exists. Haverford College became co-ed in 1980, and now more than half of Haverford students are women. Haverford is closely tied to nearby Bryn Mawr College, and students can also register for classes at Swarthmore College.
Haverford is a top-tier liberal arts college, ranking first among liberal arts colleges in a 2012 Forbes ranking and the 9th best by the 2013 edition of US News and World Report. Many Haverford students go on to medical school, law school, or other professional school. Roughly 98 percent of all Haverford students live on-campus.
