Selective, private, nonsectarian Rider University ranks among the top universities in the country. Located in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, Rider University’s campus covers 303 acres and enrolls roughly 5,900 students. The large campus is walker-friendly and park-like. Some of the major buildings include the Fine Arts Center, Memorial Hall, the Science and Technology Center, and the North Hall.

Students at Rider University choose from over 60 academic majors from this traditional liberal arts university. Since 2004, Rider has undergone a period of rapid growth and construction. The Student Recreation Center was completed in 2005 and contains a fitness room, three multi-purpose courts, a game room, and a three-lane, elevated track. The Bart Luedeke Center Theater completed an expansion in 2011 that included an orchestra pit, a dance studio, and dressing rooms.

Lawrenceville is a small village located just north of Trenton and south of Princeton. It was founded in 1697 as part of the West Jersey colony named Maidenhead. The Main Street Historic District was one of the first registered historic districts in the state, added in 1972.

To rent an apartment in the Rider University area, look in Lawrenceville, Lawrence Township, Ewing Township, and Colonial Heights.
