NKU’s six colleges include its newest, the College of Informatics, which was founded in 2006. The Salmon P. Chase College of Law predates the university, founded in Cincinnati in 1893. It merged with NKU in 1971 and moved from Cincinnati.
The Northern Kentucky Norse sports teams participate in NCAA Division I as part of the Atlantic Sun Conference. Teams include baseball, basketball, tennis, and soccer. School colors are gold and white.
