Or residents can take a short drive to Kentwood Park, home of the oldest and busiest golf course in the triangle.

Mission Valley Shopping Center is at the corner of Avent Ferry Road and Western Boulevard. The center offers a wide range of shops and restaurants. There is also an ABC (Alcohol Beverage Control) store and the Mission Valley Cinema.

Wynnewood Park residents can travel on either Gorman Street or Avent Ferry Road to quickly arrive at North Carolina State University. Via Gorman Street and Western Boulevard, it is a short distance from major intersections providing access to Interstate 40, Highway 64, Highway 1, the 440 Beltline and the busy triangle.
