More specifically, the Hidden Creek subdivision is located right off of Mid Pines Road and is comprised of Mims Court and Raymond Smith Road. North Carolina State University and its mammoth campus sprawls out over acres to the northwest of Hidden Creek. NC State is a major employer for the local population, which includes many students.

Lake Johnson Nature Park is a recreational fixture and major local attraction only minutes to the northwest of the Hidden Creek community. Other popular local recreation spots include Silver Lake, Dover Pond A, and Dix Hill Conference Center Pond.

The Avent Ferry Shopping Center, Trailwood neighborhood, and Lake Raleigh can all be found to the northeast of the Hidden Creek community, accessible within a few minutes’ drive.
