Heatherbrook is a picturesque, residential community in Raleigh that encompasses the 27604 zip code. With an area of 0.046 square miles, it has a population of just over 200 residents. It’s more densely populated than most areas of Raleigh.

Marsh Creek Road serves as the northern border of the neighborhood. Trawick Road runs along its western border. Eck Drive borders the Heatherbrook community to the south. The eastern border is comprised of several smaller, local streets.

Over 80 percent of the houses in Heatherbrook are single-family, detached homes of differing sizes, styles and areas. Four percent of the residential units are townhouses. Apartment homes make up a smaller percentage. Mobile homes, or trailer homes, make up five percent of the residential buildings of the neighborhood.

Adventure Landing Raleigh, a popular amusement park with many games and rides, is less than a mile northwest of Heatherbrook. It attracts tourists from all over North Carolina and beyond, yet it’s within walking distance of the neighborhood. It offer 18-hole themed courses, a large arcade, and laser tag, among other attractions.

Marsh Creek Skate Park is a mile northeast of the community of Heatherbrook. Visitors must wear protective gear when visiting the park, and they should bring their own skates. For families who prefer a more traditional park environment, Meadow Wood Park, with its pristine open parkland, is only two miles west of the neighborhood.

Although Heatherbrook is a primarily residential community, there is a wealth of shopping opportunities within easy driving distance or that are easily accessible via public transportation. A Wal-Mart Supercenter is a little over a mile southeast of the neighborhood, while the Capital Square Shopping Center is less than a mile northwest of Heatherbrook.
