For places to eat, choices include the Backyard Bistro Restaurant, Neomonde Mediterranean Café and Market, Porter’s Tavern and Frazier’s. If residents are looking for nightlife, they can go to Katmandu, Pantana Bob’s, Legends Nightclub, the Wolfpack Club or the City Limits Saloon.

There is Mordecai Historic Park for a taste of Carolina history. It features a genuine plantation house and a village street containing the home that was the birthplace of President Andrew Johnson.
