Grove Park is a very small residential community of various sized homes and townhouses just to the west of downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. Real estate values in Grove Park range from around 162K to 280K. It is bordered on the north by Meredith College and to the southeast by the main campus of North Carolina State University. Also, just to the northeast is the Ergonomics Center of North Carolina and Progressive Graphics – a graphic design school. Schools in the area include Cardinal Gibbon High School and Olds Elementary School.

The Raleigh-Durham area boasts two minor league baseball teams – The Asheville Tourists and the famous Durham Bulls. For basketball, follow the Wolfpack of North Carolina State University at the RBC Center. RBC Center is also the home of the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes and also plays host to concerts and special events such as rodeos and Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

During the summer, residents can catch an outdoor concert at the 20,000 capacity Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek, or a first-run movie at Regal Cinemas Brier Creek Stadium 14, South Point Cinema or Phoenix Theatres 10. For places to eat, choices include the Backyard Bistro Restaurant, Neomonde Mediterranean Café and Market, Porter’s Tavern and Frazier’s. If residents are looking for nightlife, they can go to Katmandu, Pantana Bob’s, Legends Nightclub, the Wolfpack Club or the City Limits Saloon.

There is Mordecai Historic Park for a taste of Carolina history. It features a genuine plantation house and a village street containing the home that was the birthplace of President Andrew Johnson.
