Carriage Hills is a small residential neighborhood in Raleigh, North Carolina. The neighborhood is located north of the intersection of Laurel Hills Drive and Edward Mills Road, up to Carriage Drive to the north. The neighborhood consists of only three roads: Old Post Road, Lantern Place, and Pewter Place.

Residents of Carriage Hills are made up of mostly younger married couples, with only a quarter of them having children in their household. The median family income in Carriage Hills was $76,000, as of 2000. The average home in the area was built between 1960 and 1990, with an average home value of around $484,000 in 2000.

Just west of Carriage Hills is one of the best locations for area recreation at the Falls of Neuse Road. This area is popular for the dam that blocks off part of Falls Lake, which is part of Falls Lake State Park. From this area many come to stand near the dam and take pictures of the beautiful waterway on the west and the waterfall coming out of the dam to the east. The dam also provides many opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, and rafting. In fact, Paddle Creek, located just east of the dam, provides rentals that are available throughout the year. They even help to transport equipment and pick up renters. The area is also popular for fishing, and many guided trips are available for the less experienced traveler.

On the north side of the neighborhood is Banks D. Kerr Family YMCA. This massive YMCA is one of the most popular destinations for area families. They provide a wide variety of services to the community with a major goal of getting residents to exercise more frequently, especially area children. They provide a fitness center, recreation rooms, basketball and volleyball courts, swimming pool, and numerous classes and leagues that coincide with these offerings.
