The neighborhoods that make up the Bailey’s Landing community are located just off of Tyron Road, southeast of Silver Lake in the northern section of Raleigh. The area is served by mass transit service. However, most residents own at least one vehicle.

Silver Lake Water Park, which offers a number of water slides, wave pools, and a kids’ play area, is located less than half a mile away. For residents with an educational bent, there are several schools nearby where they can attend classes, learn a new career, or further develop existing skills. North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and the Office of Professional Development are both within a few miles of the community, as are one of the University of Phoenix’s campuses and the JC Raulston Arboretum.

Shoppers living in Bailey’s Landing find that several shopping centers and boutiques are conveniently located in or within a relatively short distance from their homes. The Swift Creek Shopping Center, South Hills Shopping Center, and Avent Ferry Shopping Center are all situated within a five-mile radius of the community, as are a number of chain retailers such as Big Lots and Kmart and several unique boutiques and specialty stores.
