Ansleigh Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Ansleigh lies northeast of Raleigh just off of Highway 401 (Louisburg Road). The neighborhood is comprised of three streets: Silverdene Street which loops around the neighborhood, Willhagen Court, and Ansleigh Hills Drive. Residents enjoy walking along the many sidewalks and observing the many trees which surround the area. There are also open spaces for residents to enjoy.
A few miles to the Southwest lies Beaverdam Lake. The lake is separated from Falls Lake by a dam, and is smaller, but accessible and quiet. No motor boats are allowed on Beaverdam, so it is the first choice for rowers and kayakers. The park offers many areas to picnic, bike, hike, walk, jog and play. There is a beach for swimming and grilling areas dotted throughout the park area. The beach also offers a bath house with restrooms and changing areas, and there are small and large group pavilions available.
Practically next door to Beaverdam is Falls Lake State Recreation Area. The Rolling View area has many short walking trails and several camping sites, some of which are wheelchair accessible. The sandy beach offers a modern bath house with restrooms, and there is a four lane boat ramp.
The Sandling Beach area offers two walking trails for a closer look at the area’s flora and fauna, a beach with bath house, many picnic and grilling areas and larger pavilions for groups. The Falls Lake area has several other specific areas for biking, hiking, swimming, boating and fishing. The park also offers many programs for people of all ages year round.
