The Woodlea neighborhood is south of downtown Greensboro. The boundaries for Woodlea are West Vandalia Road on the south, Randleman Road on the west, Corliss Street on the North, and South Elm Eugene Street on the east.

Woodlea is a collection of homes built between 1970 and 1990 and includes detached single-family homes and condo communities. Neighborhood streets are lined with mature cedars.

Within the Greensboro area, Woodlea homes tend to be on the less-expensive end. However, many people consider the neighborhood a great value.

Schools serving Woodlea residents are in the Guilford County School District. Vandalia Elementary is highly rated by parents and students.

Sports fans in Woodlea can keep themselves busy all year round. The National Hockey League is represented in the area by the Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh. The Class-A Greensboro Grasshoppers have a strong following and draw large crowds to the NewBridge Bank Park in downtown Greensboro. In addition, the Carolina Dynamo team plays professional soccer in McPherson Stadium.
