This neighborhood’s name says it all. South Peace Haven truly is peaceful and serene. It is rather small neighborhood, but high on charm. There are large trees everywhere and the neighborhood is across the street from a forest that has a path that leads to large open area where people can go to walk dogs, play a game of baseball or just enjoy the scenery.
Nestled in a grove of trees in South Peace Haven sits the Westside Baptist Church. The white steeple rises above the red brick sanctuary. On Sunday, there is a 9:45 a.m. Bible study class and an 11:00 a.m. worship service.
There are bike paths along the nearby streets of South Peace Road and McGregor Road, making riding safer. Hanes Park has fourteen lighted tennis courts and joggers use the track that goes around the courts. There are also three baseball fields. Tennis lessons are available at Hanes Park.
Forsyth Country Club located on Country Club Drive is a stately manor with all the enchantment of the south and was founded in 1913. Forsyth is on 172 acres of beautiful rolling terrain. Members can play golf, swim, or use the private health club. There is an outdoor dining facility and Forsyth is an enchanting site for weddings.
Overall, South Peace Haven is a desirable neighborhood in which to live. It is close to some of the best things Winston Salem has to offer. South Peace Haven is in Forsyth County.
