Jimmie I. Barber Park is a city park that has great amenities. There is an indoor sports complex that includes tennis and basketball courts which can be used year round. There is a playground and during the summer a sprayground. The Penn-Wright Baseball Stadium is located in Barber Park as well as over a mile of walking trails. This park is also a great place for having a picnic at one of the available shelters. A very popular attraction at the park is an 18-hole disc golf course.
In order to go grocery shopping, the residents of the Sharing Trace neighborhood head to East Market Street. It is located a short drive to the west and there they can shop at the Food Lion.
