Clinton Heights is an established neighborhood. There are sidewalks and mature trees and most of the homes are smaller. The exteriors are predominantly brick with the houses in the ranch or bungalow style.

In the southeast corner of the neighborhood is the Kindred Hospital of Greensboro. It is a long term acute care hospital that has 124 beds to offer to patients who require longer care than a normal hospital is capable of offering. They receive patients from hospitals all over Virginia and the Carolinas.

Gillespie Park which is named for a general in the Revolutionary War is the home to one of the two golf courses that are owned by the city of Greensboro. It is located very close to the Clinton Heights neighborhood. Gillespie Golf Course is a nine hole course that with the addition of some extra tees can be played as if it is 18 holes. This course is one that almost any golfer can not only play but enjoy. Because it is a municipal course it is also very affordable.

There are no city parks in the neighborhood; however, Jimmie I. Barber Park is located just a short drive away from Clinton Heights. There is an indoor sports pavilion that offers basketball and tennis year round. The park has a baseball stadium as well as an 18 hole disc golf course. There is also a playground, a mile of walking trails and six picnic shelters.
