Moores Chapel Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
Located to the north of Moores Chapel Road, the Moores Chapel subdivision is located on Charlotte’s west side and is bordered by Charlie Hipp Road to the south and Hawfield Road to the north and east. It is a rural North Carolina neighborhood comprised primarily of single-family homes in a relatively undeveloped community less than 15 miles from downtown Charlotte.
The residences in the Moores Chapel subdivision are small one-story homes on spacious lots, many of which back up to densely wooded areas. Children living in the neighborhood will benefit from convenient access to area schools, which include Pawtucket Elementary School, Mt. Holly Middle School, and West Mecklenburg High School. In addition to providing residents with a feeling of safety and security in this secluded subdivision, Moores Chapel also offers plenty of privacy, with homes spaced a significant distance apart on large lots.
Although the neighborhood is quite secluded on the outskirts of town, Moores Chapel is not particularly pedestrian-friendly, as it lacks sidewalks along its winding roads and is not equipped with streetlights. However, residents seeking outdoor recreation can venture to nearby Mountain Island Lake, a man-made lake built in 1924 that offers activities such as boating and fishing. Those in search of recreation ranging from hiking and biking to horseback riding, canoeing, and kayaking will enjoy Latta Plantation Nature Preserve, which features 18 miles of trails and a full-service equestrian center along Mountain Island Lake.
In addition to being close to nearby natural areas, the Moores Chapel neighborhood is also located a short drive from Interstate 485, providing residents with a quick and convenient commute to downtown Charlotte as well as neighboring cities such as Winston-Salem, Gastonia, Greensboro, and High Point.
