The neighborhood is in zip code 28215, off Reedy Creek Road just east of Interstate 485, giving easy access to the rest of Charlotte. The neighborhood is next to Larkhaven Golf Club, one of the oldest public golf courses in Charlotte. Part of the neighborhood is bordered by undeveloped land owned by Mecklenburg County that will one day be developed into a park.

The Sherman Branch mountain biking trail runs close to Bradfield Farms. The neighborhood also is close to the Reedy Creek Nature Preserve, which has fishing, ten miles of hiking trails, and a nature center. Nearby Harrisburg Community Park hosts a farmers market and also has a playground, sand volleyball court, picnic shelters, and multipurpose fields.
