Spring Forest Neighborhood

The Spring Forest neighborhood of Asheville, North Carolina can be accessed off Springside Road. Large, mature trees shade streets and lawns, and condominiums sit on grassy lots. Across the street residents will find T.C. Roberson High School. Next to the high school is the Skyland South Buncombe Library.

Four minutes from Spring Forest is Lake Julian. The 300-acre lake provides a place for visitors to fish, boat, and engage in water activities like water skiing and tubing. The lake has paddleboats and canoes available for rent as well. The park has sand volleyball courts and horseshoe pits, as well as six picnic shelters with tables and grills. Lake Julian hosts annual events such as the Kid’s Fishing Tournaments in April and September, and the annual Fourth of July Fireworks Display.

Asheville is known for its abundance of special events. Residents can attend the Festival of Flowers in the spring, Garden Jubilee, and the Mountain Sports Festival, which is when the community gets together for a weekend of sports, music, food, and competitions.

The Asheville Art Museum holds some of the best 20th and 21st century art in western North Carolina. The museum has fourteen exhibitions and nearly 100 public programs for adults and children. On the first Wednesday of every month, the public receives free admission. The museum lies 20 minutes from the neighborhood.

Spring Forest is a quiet residential neighborhood in Asheville. Residents live close to the Ashville Mall, Ashville Regional Airport, and Interstate 240. Residents enjoy the neighborhood’s easy access to schools and the scenic surroundings of Spring Forest.
