If you love Lucy, you’ll love renting an apartment in Jamestown. Famous comedienne Lucille Ball was born in Jamestown, and the city celebrates her life and legacy with museums, historical markers, and the Lucille Ball Festival of New Comedy.

Jamestown is located in southwestern New York on Chautauqua Lake, not far from Lake Erie. Both lakes are popular for boating and fishing. The Allegheny National Forest is just south of Jamestown and is a great place to enjoy hiking, bicycling, camping, boating, swimming, waterskiing, windsurfing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.

Parks in Jamestown are plentiful and range from small neighborhood parks to larger parks, such as 152-acre Chadokoin Park, located in the Third Ward. This park includes ball fields, a playground, and a picnic pavilion. Leonard A. Bergman Park, located in the Fourth Ward, includes horseshoe courts, ball fields, concession stands, and an exercise trail. Allen Park features a sledding hill, a band shell, and an indoor ice skating rink.

Downtown Jamestown is a quaint, historic area filled with plenty to do. The Farmer’s Market is held downtown from June through October and includes vendors, entertainment, cooking demonstrations, displays, fresh, local produce and other products. The streets of downtown are lined with locally-owned businesses including shops, antique stores, boutiques, and restaurants.
