East Rochester New York is, by public opinion, Rochester’s “Little Italy.” Over half of the town’s residents have Italian ancestry. It is home to some of the finest Italian restaurants in the Rochester area, including The Northside Inn, Perlo’s, Surace’s Pizza, The Grapevine Restaurant, and, for many years, Giuseppe’s.
The high school has been affectionately referred to as “The Home of Champions” because the basketball, football, and wrestling teams each won numerous championships. East Rochester’s East End Music Festival occurs once a month during June, July, and August. It has music on six stages and various other exhibits to see.
