One of the Township's most popular destinations is Veteran's Park, which is also home to its skate park facility. With thirty-three acres of open space, it offers two softball fields, one little league field, two basketball courts, tennis and handball courts, a children's playground, a picnic area, soccer field and a walking trail. Middlesex County picks up where Old Bridge leaves off and in addition to providing recreational activities and sports facilities, it also sponsors concert, theater, and art programs at various venues throughout the year. The Raritan Bay Waterfront Park in neighboring South Amboy, with a performance gazebo overlooking the Bay and a walkway around its perimeter, is not to be missed! Are you a golfer? Then you're in luck-the Middlesex County Improvement Authority operates three golfing facilities: The 36-hole, par 71 Tamarack Golf Course in East Brunswick, the 18-hole, par 70 Meadows at Middlesex Golf Course in Plainsboro, and the 18-hole, par 58 Raritan Landing Golf Course in Piscataway.
