The Township of Eastampton began in 1880 as a small, rural farming area. Today, it still retains its rural atmosphere, with neighborhoods nestled among trees and lakes.
Eastampton is six miles west of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, consisting of Fort Dix Military Reservation, McGuire Air Force Base, and Lakehurst Naval Station. It is also 24 miles east of downtown Philadelphia.
Historic Smithville Park encompasses an intact Victorian industrial-era village, one of the few remaining in the area. Its crown jewel is an 1840 Greek Revival Mansion, open for tours. The park is nestled along Rancocas Creek and includes a 600-foot-long floating walkway on Smithville Lake. Residents can enjoy hiking trails, canoeing, fishing, picnicking, and biking on the 280-acre park of upland forest and wooded wetlands.
A historical town in a great location, Eastampton’s apartment rentals offer a secluded, rural environment minutes from downtown metro areas, Rancocas State Park, and more.
