Apartments for Rent in Clark, NJ(show city information)
Although not incorporated until 1864, Clark can trace its history back to the 17th century, when it was part of an early village. A building from that time, the Robinson Plantation House, was built around 1690 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is now a museum with many of its original features intact, including the beams, gunstock posts, flooring, framework, and overhang. The museum hosts a Civil War Reenactment and Living History weekend annually.
Another fascinating location in Clark is the Homestead Farm at Oak Ridge. This historic home was built around 1750, on what was formerly Ash Swamp. A major Revolutionary War battle, the Battle of Short Hills, was conducted here. The home and grounds are located at Oak Ridge Park.
Clark is a busy, bustling suburban town with a population of over 14,500. Rent a Clark apartment and you’ll be perfectly located to many major cities, including Newark to the north, New York City to the northeast, and Trenton to the southwest.
