A picturesque community located amid green, open spaces, Belle Mead NJ still retains its farming community roots, even though a developer attempted to convert this rural area into a “New York style” city back in 1875 — an attempt that failed, leaving Belle Mead a pretty little community.
This unincorporated area is situated near the Montgomery and Hillsborough Townships, 20 miles north of Trenton and nine miles north of Princeton University. It is 50 miles from Philadelphia, the coast, and New York City, making it centrally-located to everything northeastern New Jersey has to offer.
Nearby Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park is a popular recreation destination. Six Mile Run Reservoir is a 3,037-acre area for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The area is dotted with 18th century farmhouses and Dutch-framed granaries.
If you are looking for an apartment rental location near Trenton, Belle Mead is a great community to begin your search.
