For history, entertainment and nightlife, The District is Columbia’s premier multi-block area. There are a number of shops, restaurants and pubs here. Many of the city’s top entertainment events are held here as well, including summer concerts.

Two neighboring educational institutions – U. of M. and Stephens College – also bring great entertainment to the area. Of course, there are the great athletic events at U. of M. Stephens College, long known for its fine performing arts programs, has a busy calendar of events.

Several museums are close by. The Museum of Anthropology focuses on Native American culture over the past 11,000 years. The Museum of Art and Archaeology holds items from six continents.
