Fifth Ward Apartments for Rent

(hide neighborhood information)

To the southwest of downtown Columbia sits the Fifth Ward. The beauty of nature is alive in this child-friendly and pet-friendly neighborhood, which stretches as far east as Providence Road and as far north as Chapel Hill Road. Snackers can take joy in the area’s many dining options in this neighborhood that sits on the southwest side of the city.

Hinkson Woods Conservation Area’s grasslands, old fields, and forest and woodland spread out to cover 70 acres of Columbia’s Fifth Ward. Fishing, dog walking, and hunting are all available at Hinkson Woods.

Longer runs are best taken on the 4.7 mile ten feet wide MKT Trail. The MKT Trail starts Scott Boulevard and runs all the way to downtown Columbia, passing peaceful Hinkson Creek, beautiful Forum Nature Area, and Twin Lakes Recreation Area in the process.

Tee it up at the local Country Club of Missouri, which was founded in 1971, and is the only member-owned and managed club in the state. Its 18-hole golf course off of Forum Boulevard and Woodrail Avenue is complemented by tennis courts, a pool, and fine dining.

The Fifth Ward is sprinkled with other fine places to get a meal, including Kostackis Pizzeria, Jimmy John’s, and Papa Murphy’s.

In the southwestern portion of the “Show Me” state’s city of Columbia, the child friendly, and pet friendly Fifth Ward is a tribute to the beauty of nature. The fertile green acreage of Hinkson Woods, the peaceful scenery along MKT Trail, and the many restaurants make the Fifth Ward a prime place to relax, work out, and grab a bite to eat in central Missouri.
