(hide neighborhood information)

Eastland Hills is a new, upscale, suburban neighborhood of Columbia, featuring spacious, contemporary-style homes and luxury town homes. The terrain is mostly level with some gentle hills, with sidewalks on both sides of the street.

Eastland Hills lies less than 10 miles from the heart of downtown Columbia and the University of Missouri. It is located between I-70 and St. Charles Road, and accessed by Upland Creek Road, east of Columbia in zip code 65205.

Great recreation is quite close by, especially for golfers. Columbia Country Club is a premier facility with top-notch services. Founded in 1921, it features a Grand Ballroom and an Olympic size pool.

About one-half mile from Columbia Country Club is a delightful park, Stephens Lake Park. It’s the place to go for sledding and ice-skating in the winter. During the summer, it is prized for its spraygrounds and waterfalls. The 11-acre lake has a swimming beach and allows non-motorized boating.

Two small colleges are near Stephens Park. Stephens College, founded in 1833, offers undergraduate degrees to female students, including an equestrian degree. The College has a lovely equestrian center. Stephens is known also for its performing arts programs. Columbia College, founded in 1851, is a liberal arts college offering associates, bachelors, and masters degrees in select areas.

Of course, Columbia’s largest university is not far away – The University of Missouri. U. of M. had the first school of journalism in the world, and still today maintains a prestigious journalism school. U. of M. brings excitement and entertainment, from great football and basketball to the many performances by world-class entertainers.

A multi-block downtown area known as The District is the entertainment hub, with numerous restaurants, pubs, and historic buildings. Those who enjoy hunting and fishing will appreciate the conservation area all around.
