South of Rockingham and West of Westwinds, College Park is a quiet residential area shaded by a thick cover of trees. The neighborhood is bordered by West Stadium Boulevard on the South and West, Maplewood Drive on the East, and Rollins Road on the North. Division one college football is just down the street at Faurot Field. Russell Boulevard Elementary, and Kiwanis Park make College Park a family friendly neighborhood.

A short drive East on Stadium Boulevard is Faurot Field, home field of the University of Missouri Tigers football team. Though it was built in 1926, Faurot Field is a state of the art football stadium complete with an 80-feet by 3 ½ feet high definition video board, and a capacity over 70,000. Missouri posted a 10-3 record in 2010 and finished ranked no. 18 by the Associated Press.

Sandwiched between Maplewood Drive and College Park Drive, Kiwanis Park is a 20 acre wooded green space. A 0.86 mile nature trail provides a wooded walk from C. D. Odor Shelter to Talbert Thurston Shelter. Each shelter has a BBQ grill, drinking fountain, lights, parking, and outlets. To the North sits the Trinity Presbyterian Church and Russell Boulevard Elementary School.

The Elementary school has basketball courts and a playground that is available for public use outside of school hours. Russell Boulevard Elementary opened in 1958 and has just over 600 students enrolled. Its mascot is the Ravens and the school colors are green and white.

College Park’s wooded streets and Kiwanis Park are a testament to natural beauty in a quiet, family friendly neighborhood. Faurot Field provides college football on the national stage a short drive away for sports fans. Russell Boulevard Elementary school and the park make outdoor fun and family time a short walk away.
