Clearview is a rather small, primarily residential neighborhood in the 65202 zip code of Boone County. It’s bordered to the north by West Havens Drive and to the south by East Brown School Road. North Creasy Springs Road borders it to the west and Providence Road borders it to the east.

Cosmo Park, which is formally called Columbia Cosmopolitan Recreation Area, is two and a half miles southwest of the community. It offers open parkland, a softball field, picnic tables, and a large, modern playground. Peace Park is four miles to its south.

Clearview is a very family-friendly community, with several public and private schools nearby. Browns School lies at the southern border of the neighborhood. Derby Ridge Elementary School, which is noted for its exemplary teaching staff, is one and a half miles to its southeast. Little Wonders Preschool is a mile to its southeast. Robert L. Perry Juvenile Center is about two miles to its east.

The Masonic Home of Missouri is two miles east of Clearview. The University of Missouri Museum of Art & Archaeology is four miles to its south. The Western Historical Manuscript Collection, a landmark museum, is five miles to its south, and the George Caleb Bingham Art Gallery is four and a half miles to its south.

Several of the more well-to-do residents are members of the Columbia Country Club. It offers an 18-hole golf course, an aquatic center, pavilion for special events, luxury clubhouse, and on-site restaurant. The Forest Hill Country Club, just over six miles away, offers a challenging championship golf course.
