Viking Hills is located in the northern outskirts of Rochester, Minnesota. While living in Viking Hills means a slightly longer drive to the city, residents enjoy a great amount of privacy and tranquility in their community. Plenty of shops and restaurants sit close to Viking Hills, helping to maintain a more comfortable lifestyle for the neighborhood’s residents. Chateau Theater sits just south of Viking Hills and has a lovely castle theme. The theater screens all of the latest box office hits, making this venue a lovely way to spend a Friday night out on the town. After the movie, adults can head on over to Whistle Binkies Old World Pub for a drink and bite to eat with friends or coworkers.

Residents will also enjoy Viking Hills’ namesake park, which sits adjacent to the neighborhood. The park is a great place to spend an hour or two with the family without having to pack up the car. Other parks nearby include Hawthorne Hills Park, which has a maze-like design perfect for running. Elton Hills Run Park is another great place nearby for a morning jog through the park, and Emerald Hills Park offers several baseball fields and eight tennis courts.

Several places of worship lie in close proximity to Viking Hills, making the neighborhood very family friendly.
