Slatterly Park is located in the city of Rochester, Minnesota. This neighborhood lies southeast of Rochester, east of U.S. Route 63, and north of U.S. Route 14.

Slatterly Park has several parks very close by. The largest of these is the park’s namesake, Slatterly Park, which offers two baseball fields to the neighborhood’s residents. Slatterly Park also has a disc golf course, walking paths, and biking trails that run along a narrow creek. This park also connects up with another large Rochester park, Bear Creek Park. Bear Creek Park is more of nature preserve and scenic park. Residents will find benches, picnic areas, playground equipment, and trails along the creek. Some of the other parks in the area are Homestead Park and Mayo Park. Both of these parks are a bit on the smaller side, but they’re large on charm.

Slatterly Park is close to a golf course as well. Soldier Field Golf Course was built in 1927 and offers 6,000 yards of challenging golf to both residents and guests. Soldier Field has some of the most scenic holes in Minnesota. Many of the holes lie along the Zumbro River, and in fact some of the holes even incorporate the river in their challenges.

The Rochester Community and Technical College is located less than 15 minutes from Slatterly Park. This college is a much more affordable alternative to the University of Minnesota. Rochester Community College is one the top community colleges in the Midwest for minor medical degrees.
