East Side Pioneers Apartments for Rent

The East Side Pioneers neighborhood is located in southeast Rochester, Minnesota. Its boundaries are Silver Creek on the north, 4th Street Southeast on the south, the Zumbro River on the west, and the Federal Medical Center on the east. The University Center Rochester is located just southeast of East Side Pioneers. The Fuad Mansour Rochester Sports Complex is located near campus featuring seven full sized soccer/football fields, as well as seven smaller fields for youth games and practices. The University Center Rochester Baseball Complex, also located here, includes four large baseball fields and two smaller fields for softball or youth baseball.

The Mayo Civic Center is a popular destination in the city, located just west of the East Side Pioneers neighborhood, along the Zumbro River. This is southern Minnesota’s largest event center; complete with an arena, auditorium, exhibit hall, and theater. The Mayo Civic Center offers events like the WWE, the Harlem Globetrotters, and the Rochester Symphony Orchestra. Mayo Park, also located here, is a tranquil 11-acre park that is often used for outdoor parties and events.

There are other parks in the area for residents and their families to enjoy as well, including Homestead Park, East Park, Quarry Hill Park, and Silver Lake Park. These parks offer such amenities such as ball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, skate parks, playgrounds, picnicking areas, and walking trails. At Silver Lake Park you can enjoy a day of swimming at the outdoor pool, paddleboat or canoe across the lake, or feed the giant Canadian geese that gather here.
