A quaint, old-fashioned city complete with a historical main street and a river running through it, Chatfield is located in southeastern Minnesota, 18 miles southeast of Rochester.
Settled in the 1850s, Chatfield celebrates its long history with the Chatfield Historical Museum and Chatfield Western Days — the 43rd annual will be held in August. This five-day event includes a horse show, tractor show, carnival, parade, music, food, a craft and flea market, a classic car show, tournaments, a stampede, fireworks, and more. Chatfield is also home to the Chatfield Brass Band and Music Lending Library.
Just 20 miles from the Mayo Clinic and 19 miles east of Rochester International Airport, Chatfield has many work opportunities. Shops, cafes, and restaurants line the downtown area, giving residents plenty of shopping and dining options.
