Mansfield Lahm Air National Guard Base is situated on 67 acres of Mansfield Lahm Airport. It is home to the 179th Airlift Wing of the Ohio National Guard. The mission of the 179 AW is to provide airlift support to the Army with the C-27 Spartan. The Wing consists of several units, including the 200th RED HORSE Squadron.

An apartment in the Mansfield Lahm Air National Guard Base area will most likely be in Mansfield, which is four miles south. Mansfield, known as Ohio’s “Fun Center,” is located in central Ohio roughly 67 miles northeast of Columbus. It is situated along the Mohican River and was first settled in 1808.

So what makes it so much fun to live in Mansfield? That depends – for those who enjoy golf, it’s the wide variety of municipal golf courses. For those who enjoy the outdoors, it is the 33 parks. And those that appreciate the unique will love the Historic Carrousel District. There’s also the Mansfield Art Center, historic buildings such as Oak Hill Cottage and the Ohio State Reformatory (which offers haunted tours), stock car racing, ski resorts, and bike trails.
