Situated just 20 miles northwest of Boston in Middlesex County, North Billerica is one of nine hamlets that make up the town of Billerica. This small village sits along the Concord River and is home to several historic sites, including the oldest remaining homestead in Billerica, the Manning Manse, built in 1696.

During the early part of the 20th century, Boston and Maine Railroad built repair yards in North Billerica that later expanded into a large industrial park. Today, it is still the headquarters for Pan Am Railways.
