Portland, ME Apartments for Rent

Historic and beautiful Portland, Maine was originally settled by Captain Christopher Levett in 1623. He called his settlement, which was granted to him by King Charles I of England, Casco Bay. He left the colony to return to England, and the colonists vanished. The Army’s Fort Levett, built on Cushing Island in 1898, was named for the explorer.

Today, Portland is a gorgeous city – the largest in Maine – with an amazing landscape. Once you’ve rented a Portland apartment, be sure to stroll through Old Port, an area filled with boutiques, restaurants, and bars along cobblestone streets. The 19th-century architecture adds even more charm to the district. Many of the historic buildings have been converted into sought-after apartments and condos.
