For outdoor recreation, Sycamore residents head roughly two miles north to E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park. Also on site are the Sawyer Hayes Community Center and the Activities Center. The latter features a gymnasium that seats 600 people and is used for various sporting events, clinics and leagues.
