Offering a mix of small businesses and residential choices, Kelsey City lies between Riviera Beach and North Palm Beach right off the Atlantic Ocean. Park Avenue runs east-west through the center of the community. Silver Beach Road forms the southern boundary, while Old Dixie Highway is the western boundary. Palmetto Drive and Northern Drive create the northern boundary, while Lakeshore Drive is the eastern border and runs along the coastline. Highway 1, Federal Highway, runs through the eastern portion of the neighborhood.

Several restaurants and the Lake Park Library are along Park Avenue inside the community. The Riviera Square shopping center is one block south of the community on Highway 1. A Winn-Dixie market is just north of the shopping center, making it convenient for Kelsey City residents. The Village Square Plaza is just across a waterway northeast of the community. The Mt. Holly Plaza is less than a half mile north at the corner of Old Dixie Highway and Route 850, Northlake Boulevard.

Lake Park Elementary School is on Date Palm Drive. A park with a playground and ball field is on Bayberry Drive. Anchorage Park provides an additional recreational area to the north of Kelsey City. The large North Palm Beach Country Club is just one mile north.

Interstate 95 is a mile west of the neighborhood by way of Northlake Boulevard. Less than a half mile south of Kelsey City, residents can use Highway 1A, Blue Heron Boulevard, to cross the channel to Singer Island.
