This neighborhood is only a little more than a mile from Pensacola Regional Airport. This gives easy access for travelers who don’t wish to use cars or buses to get into and out of the Charter Oaks. It is a connection with other points in the state or other states.

Escambia Bay is about two miles from Charter Oaks. A large amount of water recreation is available, including boating, fishing and water skiing. Boats are available for charter or for rent. There are also beautiful sandy beaches for people to walk on, or simply to sun themselves, and the surf is great for cooling off.

The neighborhood of Charter Oaks is within a few miles of several parks. It also has many lush trees and other plants, which makes the whole neighborhood feel park-like.
