Heritage Place Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
The community of Heritage Place consists of three sections and 392 single-family homes in total. Developed around a Civil War theme, the street names reflect many of the significant battles, places, and individuals of the war, such as Potomac Creek, (Fort) McAllister, and Winfield Scott.
In 2008, the neighborhood developed a community park, which includes a gazebo, children’s sandbox and play area, picnic area with grill, and plenty of seating and lighting. Behind the park and surrounding a small lake is a jogging trail, just one of many that connect the three sections of Heritage Place.
This pedestrian-friendly neighborhood is within easy walking distance of The Village at Hunter’s Creek, which is a mixed use development with an upscale retail center and a two-acre interactive park at its center. The park includes WiFi, a children’s playground, and outdoor stage for performances.
In addition to ample dining and retail options, there are also medical and professional offices. Residents can find salons, spa services, optical, and insurance offices at Hunter‘s Creek. Many special events are held here as well, including Taste of Hunter’s Creek, Autumn Fest, and Jazz Under the Stars. A weekly farmers’ market takes place each Saturday.
Shopping is also available at the Loop and Loop West, some three miles from the Heritage Place neighborhood. This shopping complex features more than 60 retail spaces, as well as dining options and a 16-screen theater.
Heritage Place residents enjoy many recreational opportunities at area parks, such as Bear Creek Complex, where they can find fishing, sand volleyball, and baseball, as well as recreational programs for children and playground equipment. Other community parks include Lester Mandell Park and the South Orange Youth Sports Complex.
