This oddly shaped neighborhood is bordered by Northwest 36th Avenue, Northwest 19th Street, Northwest 18th Terrace, Northwest 34th Plaza, Northwest 17th Street, Northwest 31st Plaza, Northwest 31st Avenue, and Northwest 21st Street.

Ridgeview has a wide variety of housing units. About half of them are single-family, detached homes of various styles. A small percentage are mobile homes, apartment complexes or condo buildings, and attached houses.

The Florida Museum of Natural History is just under three miles to the community’s south, while the Ham Museum of Art at the University of Florida is just over three miles to its south. The Matheson Museum, Paddiwhack, Renaissance Fine Arts, and Gainesville Cotton Club are also within a three-mile radius.
