The restaurant’s atmosphere has not changed since the Truman era but has kept its popularity with residents and visitors. Generations of customers fill the restaurant for a simple meal, but most orders are for a cone or container of ice cream. Vic’s is a favorite restaurant of local politicians living in the Land Park area.
Garcia Bend Park is popular for its boat ramp and courtesy dock overlooking the Sacramento River. The family-friendly park has a playground, tot lot, and picnic areas and also tennis courts and soccer fields. Three Lifetrail Stations are available for adult strength, flexibility, and balance exercises.
